As I prepare to return to Greece after spending ten days in Zimbabwe, my heart is deeply full and profoundly stirred. These past days have been marked by prayer, reconnection, and witnessing God’s quiet yet powerful work on the ground.
Part of my time was spent at Rekayi Tangwena Children’s Home in Nyanga, a place that beautifully embodies resilience, care, and hope. It was there that I recorded the short video we are sharing with you today. Not simply to document a visit, but to extend an invitation.
An invitation to pray.
An invitation to engage.
An invitation to believe that small, faithful ideas can bear lasting fruit.
Praying for Our Children’s Homes
Children’s homes carry a sacred weight. They are places of refuge, healing, and formation, often sustained through faith, sacrifice, and the commitment of many unseen hands. As Global Intercessors, we recognise that prayer is not peripheral to this work; it is foundational.
We invite you to join us in praying for children’s homes across Zimbabwe and beyond. Pray for protection, provision, wisdom for caregivers, emotional healing for the children, and God’s abiding presence in every daily rhythm of life within these homes.
Pfumvudza in Action: Planting More Than Crops
During my visit, I was encouraged to see how the Pfumvudza concept is being implemented. What began as an agricultural idea is proving to be far more than a farming method. It is a model of stewardship, dignity, and sustainability.
At Rekayi Tangwena Children’s Home, Pfumvudza is helping cultivate food security while also teaching discipline, responsibility, and hope for the future. Seeds planted in the soil are mirrored by seeds planted in young hearts, seeds of self-worth, patience, and trust in God’s provision.
This is a tangible reminder that transformation often begins quietly, with faithfulness in small spaces.
A Call to Get Involved
We share this video not only to inform, but to stir hearts. There are many ways to get involved: through prayer, advocacy, financial support, skills-sharing, or simply spreading awareness. Every contribution matters. Every prayer counts.
As I transition back to Greece, I carry Zimbabwe with me, its people, its children, and its promise. May this glimpse inspire you to stand with us, to pray intentionally, and to partner practically in nurturing lives and futures.
Thank you for walking this journey with us.
With gratitude and blessings,
Global Intercessors
